*UPDATE* Children with swimming should come in in their PE kit for swimming. This will make the changing process more swift and simple!
In order to ensure the fairest possible system, we’ve made some changes to the way that swimming lessons will work this year!
Every year group in KS2 is now going to get a chance to go swimming.
In the first term (the one we’re currently in), Year 3 will be swimming all term.
In the Spring term (starting in January), Year 4 will be swimming all term.
In the Summer term (our final term), Year 5 will be swimming for the first half term, and Year 6 will be swimming in the second half term.
You will be reminded of this by your class teacher nearer the time, but we wanted to give everyone fair warning.
And parents, please remember that every child needs a swimming hat and that girls should be wearing a swimsuit, rather than a two-piece bikini. Boys should have swimming trunks (shorts or brief styles are both fine). Please don’t send your child in with non-swimming specific sportswear, such as running shorts, as these will not suffice!
This term, classes have swimming as follows:
- Pearl Class – Mondays
- Ruby Class – Mondays
- Onyx Class – Mondays
- Jet Class – Tuesdays
On swimming days, could the children come to school in their PE kit? It would make getting changed a lot easier.
