On Friday 20th June, Heavers held a celebration event to Mark the journey that has been happening behind the scenes towards the nurturing schools standards and the work with Tender on healthy relationships. The civic Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Richard Chatterjee attended, alongside staff, children and families, to enjoy the performances from children who had completed the TENDER campaign. The Mayor then revealed the plaque awarded to us by Nurture UK, in recognition of gaining the national nurturing schools accreditation. It was an exciting experience for our school community.
