On Friday 23rd October we will be closing for the half-term holiday. We have a tradition of opening our doors to families to come and share the learning that the children have been doing over the half-term. We are going to continue to do this, but with some differences.
Early Years (Nursery and Reception)
We will have a parent workshop on how we teach phonics and how you can support the learning at home. This will take place at 9am and will last for 30 minutes, after which time you will be invited to spend time with the children as they complete their activities until 10am.
KS1 & 2 (Years 1-6)
We will have a parent workshop on our new marking and feedback policy, so that families have a better understanding of this recent change that we have brought in. This will take place at 2pm and will last for 30 minutes, after which time you will be invited to spend time in your child’s class and join in the learning and have a look at the work that has been completed.
Lessons will be continuing as normal and there will not be the opportunity to take children before the end of the school day and children will need to remain in their own class until 3:15pm. We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to see our fantastic teaching and learning in practice.
